Even without the situation with global pandemic, not everyone has the luxury to travel anytime they want. Sometimes there are things that hold them back from travelling to visit they have in their bucket lists. Things like schools, works, financial situation, etc make you unable to travel freely. At the end, you have to accept that you cannot travel. However, there is a need an hunger to satisfy your wanderlust when you can’t travel. And you have to find a way to keep travel spirit alive.

Travel spirit can make you feel more adventurous, happier, and excited. That’s why lots of people love travelling around new places. The situation with the global pandemic makes it impossible for you to travel freely without putting yourself and others on risk. Hence, here are some ways you can do to satisfy your wanderlust when travel is not possible at the moment:

Go to the nearest trek to hike or climb. Then, you can catch a sunset or sunrise. One of the sweetest things about travelling is seeing beautiful things especially that come from nature. Hence, you can keep that travel spirit up by seeing beautiful things within your reach by hiking, trekking, or climbing. You can do it on weekend or whenever you feel less hectic with your days. In this modern society, not everyone has the luxury to stop and appreciate little things like sunrise or sunset. 

Try and learn new things. One of the most exciting things about travelling is the feeling of experience new things. You can keep that spirit alive by trying new things while at home. The point is to get you out of your comfort zone. You can learn photography so the next when you can travel your skill in taking great pictures or video has improved. Or, you can learn to play instrument, foreign language, etc.

Sleep over at your friend’s house. One of the reasons why you travel is to escape from your house and daily routine. Ou can do it as well by staying in your friend’s house for few days and do some fun activities together. Or, you can simply stay in your close neighbor who you have treat as a family. When you return to your home, you feel refreshed. Or, you can take it to another level by staying the night at the nearest hotel. 

Make or order international foods. You might feel so bored with the foods you eat daily. Hence, you feel like travelling. However, you don’t really have to travel to foreign countries to satisfy your wanderlust. You can go grocery shopping and make yourself international dishes you like. You can look up the recipe on the internet. Or, you can simply order in from restaurants that sell particular dishes. You can choose Italian, Chinese, Indonesian, or Korean dishes and feed yourself to your heart’s content. This hopefully can satisfy your wanderlust.
